DENTON, Texas (Sept. 23, 2026) – The Texas Woman's volleyball team returns to Kitty Magee Arena this weekend for a pair of Lone Star Conference matchups against Eastern New Mexico and West Texas A&M.

The Pioneers (3-9, 0-2) will open the weekend against Eastern New Mexico (4-8, 1-1) on Friday, Sept. 25 at 6 p.m. before hosting West Texas A&M (6-7, 1-1) on Saturday at 2 p.m.

TWU returns home following a four-match road swing that included conference matchups against DBU and Texas A&M-Kingsville.

Senior libero Alyssa Rojo continues to lead the Pioneers defensively. Rojo enters the weekend with 218 digs and an average of 4.95 digs per set.

Mary Grace King has paced the Pioneers offensively with 144 kills entering the weekend, averaging 3.35 kills per set. King has also contributed 110 digs and 21 blocks while averaging 3.77 points per set.

At the net, Montserrat Soto-Talavera and Trinity Blackwood have provided a strong presence for TWU. Soto-Talavera enters the weekend with 45 total blocks and an average of 1.13 blocks per set, while Blackwood had recorded 39 blocks.

Lorena Gomez has directed the Pioneers offense with 306 assists and an average of 6.95 assists per set.

The Greyhounds have totaled 653 kills this season while hitting .183 as a team. ENMU is averaging 13.1 kills and 11.4 assists per set.

Eastern New Mexico has also been effective from the service line, recording 80 aces for an average of 1.6 per set. Defensively, the Greyhounds have totaled 715 digs and average 14.3 digs per set.

Opponents are hitting .190 against ENMU this season. The Greyhounds have recorded 67 total blocks and average 1.3 blocks per set.

West Texas A&M stands at 6-7 overall and 1-1 in conference play.

The Lady Buffs have totaled 606 kills on 1,787 attempts while hitting .165 as a team. WT is averaging 11.7 kills and 10.8 assists per set.

Defensively, West Texas A&M has recorded 811 digs and averages 15.6 digs per set. The Lady Buffs have also been strong at the net with 117 total blocks and an average of 2.3 blocks per set.

WT has held opponents to a .160 hitting percentage this season and has recorded 58 service aces.
