DENTON, Texas (Dec. 2) –After posting a 24-7 overall record and 24-6 in the region, the TWU volleyball team was rewarded with an at-large bid to the NCAA South Central Region Tournament.  The eight-team tournament will be held at Angelo State on Dec. 3-5.

The Pioneers will be the No. 5 seed and will face No. 4 Colorado School of Mines in the quarterfinals on Thursday, Dec. 3 at 5:00 p.m. in Junell Center.  The winner will advance to the semifinals and take on the winner of No. 1 Angelo State/No. 8 Regis on Friday, Dec. 4 at 7:30 p.m.  Championship game is scheduled for Saturday, Dec. 5 at 5:00 p.m. with the winner advancing to the Elite Eight on Dec. 10-12 held at Bob Martinez Athletics Center in Tampa, FL.
