Prior to that match, the Pioneers had won a season high three straight after snapping a seven-game losing streak Sept. 27 with a five-set win over Dallas Baptist at home and following it up with their first two conference victories over Midwestern State and Cameron inside Kitty Magee Arena.

Sara Oxford recorded 18 kills, 11 digs and six blocks to help the Pioneers defeat visiting Eastern New Mexico in four sets, 25-14, 22-25, 25-16, and 25-21. TWU is now 18-5 on the season and 8-3 in the Lone Star Conference.

Oxford posted a .424 hitting percentage after recording 18 kills on 33 attempts and just four errors. Senior
Hillary Shaffer added 10 kills and five blocks while junior
Mallory Kuechle and freshman
Makayla Mayfield chipped in nine kills each. Both Kuechle and Mayfield recorded 13 and 11 digs respectively.

The Pioneers posted a .379 hitting percentage in the first set and cruised to an 11-point win. In the second set, TWU led 17-12 before the Greyhounds scored five straight points to even the score. With the score knotted at 20-20, ENMU outscored the Pioneers 5-2 to capture the set.

TWU regrouped in the third and dominated the set with a .484 hitting percentage. The Pioneers jumped out to a 5-1 lead and never looked back in a nine-point win. TWU fell behind early in the fourth set and trailed 15-10 before they went on a run. Trailing, 20-17, the Pioneers went an 8-1 run to close out the game.
