TWU softball Heads to Alamo City to Compete in NCAA Tournament

DENTON, Texas (May 3) The TWU softball team will head south to the Alamo City to compete in the 2015 NCAA South Central Regional Tournament on May 5-7.  The double-elimination tournament will be held at the Softball Stadium inside The Park at St. Mary's in San Antonio, TX.
 
The number-three seeded Pioneers will face the number-six seed Lubbock Christian in game-one on Thursday, May 5 at 1:30 p.m.  The host and the number-two seed St. Mary's will take on the number-seven seed Angelo State in the second game at 4:00 p.m.
 
The winners of Thursday's games will face each other on Friday, May 6 at 12:00 p.m. for the right to advance to the Saturday's final while losers of Thursday's games will face off in an elimination game at 2:30 p.m.  The final game on Saturday will feature the loser of 12:00 p.m. game versus the winner of 2:30 p.m. game.  The winner will advance to the Saturday's final while the loser will be eliminated.
 
The championship game on Saturday, May 7 is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. and if necessary game is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. 
 
The St. Mary's Sports Information Office will provide live stats and live video for all games during the South Central Regional Tournament.  The links will be available at TWUAthletics.com.
