Preview: Pioneers at Eastern New Mexico and Western New Mexico

DENTON, Texas (Nov. 2, 2017) - Texas Woman's University volleyball travels to Eastern New Mexico for a match Friday at 7 p.m. and then Western New Mexico Saturday for a contest at 7 p.m.
 
About the Pioneers
The Pioneers have won the past two matches after breaking a five-game losing streak. Sophomore setter Katy Ranes leads the Lone Star Conference in assists per set (10.98), and sophomore defensive specialist Bailey French is first in digs/set (4.99). Senior middle blocker Haley Collins is number four in blocks/set (1.12), while senior outside hitter Miri Shade is fifth in kills/set (3.05).

DENTON, Texas (Oct. 7, 2017) - Three Pioneers tallied double-digit kills in a four-set win (15-25, 25-23, 25-19, 25-14) over Eastern New Mexico Saturday afternoon inside Kitty Magee Arena to record their longest win streak of 2017 with four in a row.
Miri Shade posted a match-high 14 kills, Makayla Mayfield notched her fourth double-double of the season with a dozen kills and 10 digs, and Courtney Noel registered 10 kills. Katy Ranes dished out a match-high 47 assists, and Bailey French tallied a match-high 25 digs.

DENTON, Texas (Oct. 6, 2017) - Caroline Noel of Texas Woman's University recorded a career game in a 3-0 win (25-21, 25-23, 25-17) over Western New Mexico while Miri Shade and Makayla Mayfield each posted double-doubles for the Pioneers Friday afternoon inside Kitty Magee Arena.
Noel registered six blocks and half a dozen kills while hitting .462. Shade tied a season-high with 15 digs along with 16 kills, and Mayfield posted 13 digs and 10 kills. Katy Ranes handed out a game-high 43 assists, and Bailey French had a game-high 22 digs.
