DENTON, Texas (February 11, 2017) - Texas Woman's University scored two wins versus BYU and Centenary Saturday night inside Kitty Magee Arena and recorded a season-high score of 195.625, nearly a point improved from their previous high against Iowa State on Jan. 20.

Mallory Moredock led off the first rotation for the Pioneers on vault with a 9.60, and
Brandi Lazarus made her second appearance of the season and set a career-high with a 9.775.
Katie Simpson vaulted to a 9.800, and
Schyler Jones anchored with a 9.875 to tie her career record. The team finished the rotation with a 48.800.

Uneven bars was equally as strong for TWU. Jones led with a 9.700 and tied her career record.
Hunter Vincent swung to a 9.800 and to set a new career-high, while
Taylor Vincent scored a 9.700.
Bria Northrop also tied her career-best with a 9.800, and Simpson brought in a 9.800 before
Jenna Cashmore anchored with a 9.700. The team duplicated their vault score with a 48.800.

The Pioneers looked confident on balance beam and counted no falls toward the team score. Moredock was as solid and set herself a season record with a 9.825, and Northrop followed with a 9.825. Jones connected skill after skill for a 9.775,
Taylor Vincent scored a 9.625 and Huner Vincent anchored with an excellent 9.750. Once again, TWU had a team score of 48.800 to sit in second place after the rotation with BYU leading by .175 points.

TWU put on a show by setting records and taking the win. Moredock got the show started with a 9.800 to tie her career-high.
Abigail Versemann also flipped her way to a career-best with a 9.725, and Simpson kept the trend going by setting herself a career record with a 9.825.
Erin Alderman came through with a riveting routine and career-best 9.875. Jones showed off her long lines and high tumbling for a 9.850, and Northrop followed with a 9.875 to guarantee the Pioneers a victory. The team score on the event was a 49.225 and their best event of the night.

TWU took two wins by scoring a 195.625, BYU followed with a 195.450 and Centenary third with a 191.300. The Pioneers also had many individuals on the medal stand. Jones took first on vault and Simpson tied for third. TWU dominated balance beam with Moredock and Northrop tying for first and Jones tying for third. Alderman and Northrop shared second place on floor exercise. Jones tied her career record for all-around with a 39.200 and took first place, and Northrop took second with a 39.050.
