DENTON, Texas (Mar. 21, 2012) – The TWU softball team improved its record to 23-7 with a pair of run-rule wins over Oklahoma Panhandle State on Tuesday afternoon. The Pioneers won the first game, 8-0 (5), and then captured a 10-0 (5) victory in the second.
In game one, TWU scored two runs in the first and six runs in the second. Freshman first baseman Kendra Sancet went 3-for-3 and drove in three runs while senior catcher Tiffany Weise finished with two hits and two RBI.
In the second game, the Pioneers scored four runs in the first, two in the second and four more in the third. Sancet and Weise both drove in two runs each while junior third baseman Jordan Readicker hit her 11th and 12th home runs of the season to drive in three runs.
