The Pioneers captured two of the four events including a sweep on vault. Sophomore Marcella Fallon won the vault title with a 9.775 while freshmen Amy Winczura and Kristin Edwards placed second and third respectively with scores of 9.750 and 9.725.

Jones, Alderman nab MIC weekly awards
CHICAGO (Feb. 14, 2016) - Texas Woman's University swept the Midwest Independent Conference weekly honors as Schlyer Jones was tabbed as Gymnast of the Week and
Erin Alderman was recognized as Specialist of the Week, announced by the league Tuesday.
The Pioneers scored two wins versus BYU and Centenary Saturday inside Kitty Magee Arena and recorded a season-high score of 195.625, highlighted by the performances of Jones and Alderman.
Jones tied her all-around career-high of 39.200 by way of setting a new career best on vault to earn a 9.875 and tying her career record on bars with a 9.700. Jones took the all-around title, tied for first on vault, tied for third on beam, tied for fourth on vault and tied for 11th on bars.
Alderman tied her career record on floor with a 9.875. The sophomore put together an impressive performance to help the Pioneers take home a win after trailing BYU before the floor rotation.
This marks the third weekly honor for Jones during her career and the first for Alderman. The last time a TWU duo took both awards was during the 2015 season by the Jones sisters, Schyler and Spencer.
