DENTON, Texas (Nov. 4, 2026) – After a championship season in 2026, the Texas Woman's gymnastics team prepares for another record-breaking season in 2027, as they officially released their schedule on Wednesday.

"This season will once again provide opportunities at home and away to compete head-to-head with many highly ranked programs from across the nation," TWU Head Coach Lisa Bowerman said. "Last year, this program made a strong statement with wins over four Power 4 programs, and we are set to continue building on that statement in the 2027 season as we pursue our first NCAA Regional berth."

The Pioneers will host their annual Holiday Spectacular on Sunday, Dec. 6 at 2 p.m., which will be the community's first opportunity to see the 2027 team in action. TWU will split into two teams to showcase their routines on each apparatus. Admission will be free to the public.

Then, the 2027 season officially begins on Jan. 10 on the road at Denver for a tri meet, featuring Denver and Boise State.

TWU will compete in their home opener on Jan. 17 at 2 p.m., when they welcome Arizona, Centenary and Air Force to Kitty Magee Arena for Club Day. Following the meet, the Pioneers will be hosting a Free Kid's Clinic. TWU will continue their home stand with a tri meet for Alumni Day on Jan. 24 against San Jose State and LSU.

After two meets in KMA, the Pioneers will go on the road for three straight meets. They will compete against Oklahoma and Utah State in Norman, Okla. on Jan. 29. Then, they will travel to Centenary on Jan. 31. Finally, they will wrap up the road trip with a quad meet hosted by Southeast Missouri State, which will feature SEMO, Alaska Anchorage and Wisconsin-Stout.

On Feb. 12, the Pioneers return home and welcome Arkansas and Utah State at 7 p.m. for their Faculty and Staff Appreciation Meet. On Feb. 14, TWU will head down the road to Fort Worth, Texas to compete at the Metroplex Challenge against Arkansas, Utah State and Boise State.

The Pioneers final home meet of the regular season will be on Feb. 28 at 2 p.m., as TWU will celebrate Senior Day and compete against Bowling Green and SEMO.

For their final two meets of the regular season, the Pioneers will head on the road to North Carolina for a dual meet on March 5. Then, they will close out the regular season at a quad meet hosted by Oregon State, featuring Oregon State, Boise State and UC Davis.

During the regular season, the Pioneers will compete against nine teams who qualified for Regionals in 2026, including the reigning NCAA National Champion Oklahoma.

TWU will begin postseason at home, as they host the 2027 Midwest Independent Conference Championships on March 19 at 6 p.m. in KMA. NCAA Regionals are set for March 31 through April 4, and the Womens Collegiate Gymnastics National Invitational Championship will take place on April 9-10.
