Pioneers at Oklahoma Christian preview

DENTON, Texas (March 20, 2017) – Texas Woman's University looks to improve upon its 10-game win streak by traveling to Oklahoma Christian in a non-conference doubleheader Tuesday at 5 p.m. at Tom Heath Field.

About the Pioneers
TWU upped its win steak to 10 following a sweep of Eastern New Mexico last week. Nicole Nordie is second the LSC in hits (45) and batting average (.489), third in on-base percentage (.557) and fifth in stolen bases (14). Abby Walker is eighth in the nation and leads the LSC in shutouts (4), is third in the league in batters struck out (74), fifth in batters struck out looking (19) and sixth in wins (9).
 
About the Lady Eagles
OC had an 11-game win streak halted by then-No.2 Angelo State Thursday to bring their overall record to 19-11. The Lady Eagles have played in one Heartland Conference series in which they swept Oklahoma Panhandle State in three games. Haley Squier is the reigning Heartland Conference Hitter of the Week.
 
History amongst Texas Woman's and Oklahoma Christian
This will be the fourth and fifth meeting of the season between the two teams with the Lady Eagles taking two wins. The series began in 2013 and now is tied at 5-5.

DENTON, Texas (March 18, 2017) - Texas Woman's University completed the three-game sweep of Eastern New Mexico Saturday afternoon at Pioneer Park with a 10-2 five-inning win over the Greyhounds to increase TWU's win streak to 10 games.
 
The Pioneers (19-10, 9-5 LSC) totaled 10 hits on the day compared to four from the Greyhounds. Nicole Nordie, Katy Stephens and Alexis Elizondo notched two hits each while Tylia Sylestine, Tori Bice, Abby Walker and Tara Solomon tallied one apiece.
