The Pioneers final team score of 193.875 was better than the host NIU Huskies (193.825), the Big 12's Iowa State Cyclones (192.675) and the Warhawks of Wisconsin-Whitewater (191.800).

Alderman chosen as MIC Specialist of the Week
CHICAGO (Feb. 28, 2017) -
Erin Alderman of Texas Woman's University was named the Midwest Independent Conference Specialist of the Week, as announced by the league office Tuesday.
Alderman matched her career-high and set a season-high on floor exercise with a score of 9.875 Sunday against top-ranked Oklahoma. The Fair Oaks, California, native also made her second competitive appearance on beam and totaled an impressive 9.825 against the Sooners.
This honor is the second of Alderman's career with the first being awarded two weeks ago.
