CANYON, Texas (May 13, 2017) – Texas Woman's University will face No. 20 St. Mary's Saturday at 1:30 p.m. at Schaeffer Park on the campus of West Texas A&M during the final day of the NCAA South Central Regional as the sixth-seeded Pioneers will need to defeat the third-seeded Rattlers twice to advance to Super Regionals held next week.

TWU dropped a 7-5 contest to 20^th-ranked St. Mary's during game one of the South Central Regional Tournament Thursday before rebounding with a 5-2 win over Tarleton State and a 3-0 defeat of the fourth-ranked team in the nation, West Texas A&M Friday. The Pioneers rank 12^th in Division II in on-base percentage (.414) and batting average (.334).
Nicole Nordie leads the LSC in hits (83) and batting average (.461), and is fourth in on-base percentage (.531). Abby Walker is second in the LSC in batters struck out (142), third in saves (4), fourth in batters struck out looking (36), and fifth in wins (18).

St. Mary's has yet to lose a game at this South Central Regional with a 7-5 victory over TWU Friday and a 1-0 defeat of No. 4 WT Saturday. The Rattlers need one win over the Pioneers to move on to Super Regionals. Raynelle Nash earned HC Player of the Year honors and ranks second in the league in hits (73), batting average (.407) and third in on-base percentage (.465). Pitcher Ashley Mills holds the best ERA in the Heartland (1.28) and opposing batting average (.153).

CANYON, Texas (May 11, 2017) - Texas Woman's University jumped ahead 3-0 on 20th-ranked St. Mary's in the first inning during game one of the South Central Regional hosted by West Texas A&M at Schaeffer Park Thursday, and staged a seventh inning comeback, but the Pioneers committed costly errors and left 11 runners on base before falling 7-5 to the Rattlers to place TWU in an elimination game Friday.
