The Pioneers defeated fifth-ranked Angelo State Saturday to notch the biggest upset in program history and give TWU its first Lone Star Conference victory of 2017. Sophomore setter

About the Lions
A&M-Commerce had quite the opening weekend in LSC play, as the Lions defeated No. 5 Angelo State and No. 14 Tarleton State. Jaslyn Wacker leads the league in hitting percentage (.390) and is seventh in blocks per set (0.98).

History between TWU and TAMUC
The Lions narrowly lead the series, 36-35, dating to 1996. A&M-Commerce took both matchups last season, but before that the Pioneers had swept the last five contests over the Lions including a win in the 2015 conference tournament.

Sara Oxford recorded a game-high 16 kills and
Kerstin Jenkins totaled a dozen in a four-set loss (20-25, 23-25, 29-27, 16-25) to Texas A&M-Commerce Tuesday evening inside Kitty Magee Arena.
The Pioneers (7-16, 3-11 LSC) dropped the first two set to the Lions (14-11, 8-6 LSC) before rallying big for the 29-27 win.
Katy Ranes handed out a game-high 38 assists, and
Makayla Mayfield registered a team-high 21 digs.
