About the Pioneers
The Pioneers registered their first sweep of a conference opponent and win streak in 2017 with a victory over Texas A&M-Commerce Tuesday after previously defeating fifth-ranked Angelo State Saturday to notch the biggest upset in program history and give TWU its first Lone Star Conference victory of the season. Sophomore setter Katy Ranes ranks third in the LSC in assists per set (10.05), senior middle blocker Haley Collins sits fourth in blocks/set (1.10), and senior outside hitter Miri Shade is fifth in kills/set (3.09). Sophomore defensive specialist Bailey French stands fifth in digs/set (4.57) after posting a career-high 31 digs to tally the highest total in a three-set match in the LSC this year and the eighth-highest output in NCAA Division II.
 
About the Javelinas
A&M-Kingsville grabbed three wins each at the Angelo State Invitational and the Runza Fall Classic hosted by Nebraska-Kearney and has gone 1-1 in LSC play with a loss to Eastern New Mexico and win over Western New Mexico. Lexi Wick ranks second in the league in hitting percentage (.376) and Haley Hutchinson is fifth (.320), while Casey Klobedans sits fourth is assists per set (9.31).

KINGSVILLE, Texas (Oct. 29, 2016) – Texas Woman's University opened with a 25-18 set one win over Texas A&M-Kingsville but then fell in straight sets (17-25, 19-25, 18-25) to Texas A&M-Kingsville Saturday afternoon on Hampton Inn Court.
The Pioneers (7-17, 3-12 LSC) hit well around the Javelina defense by allowing just three blocks from the team that leads the league in per set average with 2.31. Sara Oxford recorded a team-high 15 kills while Haley Collins and Courtney Noel each added 10.
