LUBBOCK, Texas (Sept. 7, 2017) - Texas Woman's University volleyball plays in its second tournament of the 2017 season at the Chap Classic hosted by Lubbock Christian and will take on Southwestern Oklahoma State, LCU, Colorado Mesa and Colorado Christian Friday and Saturday.

About the Pioneers
TWU began its season at the Oredigger Classic hosted by Colorado School of Mines last weekend. The Pioneers dropped matches to then-No. 24 Northern State, then-No. 19 CSM, Colorado Mesa and Regis.
Senior outside hitter
Miri Shade leads the Pioneers with 87 kills and ranks fourth in the Lone Star Conference in kills per set with 3.27. Sophomore setter
Katy Ranes has handed out 126 assists and sits fourth in the LSC with 9.69 per set, while senior middle blocker
Haley Collins has collected a team-high nine blocks for an average of .90 a set, good enough for ninth in the conference.

(Oct. 14, 2010) – Junior Katelyn Osborne and freshman Chloe' Tate each had a team-high 11 kills to lead the Pioneers to a 25-21, 21-25, 25-17, and 25-20 victory over Southwestern Oklahoma. TWU improves to 7-13 overall and 4-3 in the Lone Star Conference. Osborne also added 10 digs to record her second straight double-double. Tate finished with a game-high seven blocks and .476 hitting percentage. Senior Alyson Harlan and sophomore Andrea Rivera-Rojas added eight kills each while senior Sydney Veitenheimer had a team-high 19 assists.
