The defending USA Gymnastics Collegiate National Champions competed in their first road contest Sunday and scored a 191.425 at No. 1 Oklahoma and versus then-No. 15 Iowa State. The Pioneers opened the 2018 season Jan. 12 with the highest team score in a season opener in program history by defeating MIC foe Lindenwood 193.525-191.625. Senior Mallory Moredock was recognized for her efforts against at Oklahoma following three solid performances Sunday. The senior was TWU's highest finisher on vault (9.850), beam (9.775) and floor (9.800) to earn a trio of sixth-place finishes.

The Cyclones competed alongside TWU at Oklahoma Sunday and posted an overall team score of 194.975 for a second-place finish over the Pioneers. ISU recorded a season-high score of 195.450 Jan. 12 against then-No. 10 Arizona in their home opener. ISU opened the 2018 season at the Arizona Quad meet by defeating ASU, then-No. 14 Auburn and then-No. 20 Iowa with an overall score of 195.175. (Jan. 21, 2018) - Texas Woman's University led 15th-ranked Iowa State after two events following strong performances on floor and vault before going on to score a 191.425 overall in a tri-meet with Oklahoma, the 2017 NCAA National Champions, and the Cyclones Sunday afternoon inside Lloyd Noble Center.
Mallory Moredock earned three six-place finishes to lead TWU on floor (9.800), vault (9.850), and beam (9.775). Oklahoma took the team title with a team score of 197.525 and ISU placed second with a 194.975.
