TWU has gone an even .500 in their last four games after beginning the season 3-0 and then dropping the next three contests. Senior forward Alexis Nezianya leads the team with averages of 12.6 points and 8.8 boards to rank seventh in the Lone Star Conference in scoring and third in rebounding, as well as being tops in field goal percentage at .538 and fifth in blocks per game with 1.2. The Greyhounds are coming off of a 69-49 win against in-state rival Western New Mexico Tuesday. ENMU is led by Mikaehla Connor's 10.7 points while four other Greyhounds average at least 7.3 points per game.

History between TWU and ENMU
The Pioneers and Greyhounds have quite an extensive history that dates to the 1989-90 season and includes 54 total contests in which ENMU holds a 32-22 edge. Eastern took victories in both meetings last season, but the Pioneers had won the previous six contests over the Greyhounds.

Last meeting of the Pioneers and Greyhounds
PORTALES, N.M. (Feb. 9, 2017) - Kenesha Saygo of Texas Woman's University's blistered Eastern New Mexico with a career-best 36 points the help the Pioneers erase a 19-point second half deficit to pull within one, but the Greyhounds hit nine straight free throws down to stretch to prevail over TWU, 84-81, Thursday night inside Greyhound Arena.
Saygo's performance ties for the highest individual scoring output in the Lone Star Conference this season. Kara Mitchell, Grace Mitchell and Alexis Nezianya each contributed nine points for the Pioneers. Nezianya also pulled down a game-high nine rebounds. Each team made 26 field goals and was within one three-point goal of one another, but the Pioneers misfired on 16 free throws (20-of-36) compared to a 28-of-34 showing from the league's first place team.
