DENTON, Texas (Sept. 21, 2026) – The Texas Woman's basketball team has officially announced its 2026-27 schedule, as the Pioneers prepare for another season of Lone Star Conference competition.

"I'm really excited for the upcoming season and to see this group take the next step," TWU Head Coach Beth Jillson said. "We've been working hard, growing together, and building chemistry every day. This is a very competitive group that continues to challenge themselves and push each other to get better. We have a very challenging non-conference schedule that will prepare us for the LSC, one of the best basketball conferences in the nation. We're excited for the opportunities ahead and another special season!"

TWU will officially open the season at the West Texas A&M D2CCA Tip-Off Classic in Canyon, Texas. The Pioneers will face MSU Denver on Oct. 30 at noon before closing the weekend against Southern Arkansas on Oct. 31 at 2:15 p.m.

The Pioneers return to Denton for a seven-game homestand beginning Nov. 9 against Nova Southeastern at 6:30 p.m. TWU will then host Colorado School of Mines on Nov. 13, UCCS on Nov. 14 and Arkansas Tech on Nov. 18.

TWU will close November at home against Pittsburg State on Nov. 24 at 6 p.m.

December begins with back-to-back home contests, as the Pioneers welcome Texas A&M International on Dec. 3 and Texas A&M-Kingsville on Dec. 5. 

TWU will then hit the road for its first true road contest of the season, traveling to San Antonio to face St. Mary's on Dec. 14.

The Pioneers will close out the 2026 calendar year in Honolulu, Hawaii, with a pair of contests. 

TWU will meet MSU Billings on Dec. 18 at 2:15 p.m. HST before facing Fairmont State on Dec. 19 at 4:30 p.m. HST.

TWU opens the new year with a pair of home contests, hosting Angelo State on Jan. 1 and UT Permian Basin on Jan. 3. The Pioneers then hit the road to face Western New Mexico on Jan. 7 and Sul Ross State on Jan. 9.

The Pioneers return to Denton to host St. Edward's on Jan. 14 and St. Mary's on Jan. 16. TWU then travels to Lubbock Christian on Jan. 21 and MSU Texas on Jan. 23.

TWU closes January with two home contests, welcoming West Texas A&M on Jan. 28 and Eastern New Mexico on Jan. 30.

The Pioneers open February with a three-game road swing, beginning at UT Tyler on Feb. 6. TWU then travels to Cameron on Feb. 11 and Oklahoma Christian on Feb. 13.

TWU returns home for its final two games in Denton, hosting UT Tyler on Feb. 16 and UT Dallas on Feb. 18. The Pioneers will close the regular season on the road with trips to Texas A&M-Kingsville on Feb. 25 and Texas A&M International on Feb. 27.

Postseason play begins March 4-7 with the Lone Star Conference Tournament in Frisco, Texas. The NCAA South Central Regional is scheduled for March 12-15, with the NCAA Elite Eight set for March 22-26 in Fort Wayne, Ind.
