Dear Basketball,
It's hard to put into words what you've meant to me. From being 5 years old just learning the game to growing into the player and person I am today, you've been there through everything. The early mornings, long practices, the wins, the losses… all of it shaped me.
Our journey wasn't always easy. I went through two season-ending injuries that could've taken me away from you for good. But I didn't let that stop me. If you anything, those moments showed me how much I loved you and how strong I really am. Coming back each time meant everything to me.
I wouldn't have made it through any of this without God and my family. Through every high and every low, they supported me, believed in me, and kept me grounded when I needed it most. To my teammates, coaches, and TWU community, thank you for embracing me and welcoming me with open arms.
You gave me a place to grow, to compete, and to be myself. Every practice, every game, and every moment in that jersey meant everything to me and I am forever grateful. You gave me more than just a game. You gave me discipline, confidence, and a mindset I'll carry with me for the rest of my life.
Walking away from you isn't easy. It feels like I'm saying goodbye to a version of myself that I've known for so long. But I'm grateful for every lesson, every challenge, and every moment we shared.
Thank you for everything!
