DENTON, Texas (June 23, 2026) – For the 2025-26 season, Gabby Elliott was honored as a Lone Star Conference Scholar-Athlete.

According to the LSC, "each academic year, the conference presents a Scholar-Athlete award to one male and one female student-athlete who is a member of the graduating class at each LSC member institution. Award recipients are selected by their campus and represent outstanding accomplishments in scholarship, athletics and leadership. Honorees must have participated for at least two years in their sport."

During her senior season with the Pioneers, Elliott excelled in the classroom and on the court.

While pursuing a degree in kinesiology, she earned a 3.867 grade point average. For her commitment to excellence in academics, Elliott was honored as the LSC Women's Basketball Academic Player of the Year, and she earned College Sports Communicators Second Team Academic All-America honors, after being named to the CSC Academic All-District Team.

On the court, Elliott dominated for the Pioneers. She helped guide TWU to their fourth straight LSC Regular Season Title, their third straight LSC Tournament Championship, their third straight No. 1 ranking in the NCAA South Central Region and their third straight NCAA Sweet Sixteen appearance. Elliott and the Pioneers recorded their first undefeated LSC season in program history, and they finished the season with the longest win streak in program history (30), while holding their opponents to the lowest field goal percentage in program history (34.6%).

Across 31 games played and started, Elliott averaged 53.4% from the field, 11.4 rebounds per game and 15.9 points per game. She dished out 45 assists, recorded 47 blocks and grabbed 23 total steals. Elliott set five career high marks during the 2025-26 campaign – 27 points (Jan. 1, 2026); 19 rebounds (Feb. 26, 2026); six assists (Feb. 12, 2026); five blocks (Dec. 6, 2025); and 12 made free throws (Nov. 15, 2025).

Elliott also was named an LSC Player of the Week nine times during the season – the most in the conference.

At the conclusion of the 2025-26 regular season, Elliott was named the LSC Player of the Year and the LSC Defensive Player of the Year. Additionally, she was named to the All-LSC First Team and LSC All-Defensive Team. She became just the second player in Pioneer program history to receive Player of the Year honors, while Elliott was the first TWU player to sweep the conference's top individual awards in the same season. During the LSC Tournament, she was selected as the LSC Tournament Most Valuable Player. Elliott also was named a D2CCA First Team All-Region honoree, a D2CCA Third Team All-American (second in program history) and WBCA All-American Honorable Mention.

Following the conclusion of the season, she was named the TABC Small College Player of the Year. Finally, she was honored at the Pioneers end of year banquet, The Oakleys, as the Pioneer Athlete of the Year.

"Gabby is an unbelievable basketball player and an exceptional human," said TWU Basketball Head Coach Beth Jillson. "Gabby worked hard this season to be her best for the team. She is a selfless player and a strong leader. I am so proud of her. She deserves every accolade she has received, and we are so glad for the time she spent as a Pioneer."
