DENTON, Texas – Texas Woman's gymnastics head coach
Lisa Bowerman has announced that Alyssa Page is joining the Pioneers for the upcoming season.
"Alyssa will be a great addition to our 2019 team," Bowerman said. "She is a beautiful gymnast with the perfect combination of power and grace. We are thrilled for her to join us in December and are excited about her ability to contribute immediately."
Page is graduating in December 2018 from Lanier High School in Sugar Hill, Georgia. She competed on bars, beam and floor with the Gymnastix Training Center in Buford, Georgia. She most recently competed in March in the 2018 Georgia State Championships as a Level 10 in the Senior A division, finishing eighth.
Page intends to pursue a nursing degree when she enters TWU as a freshman in January.
"TWU is such a welcoming and heartfelt place," Page said. "I chose TWU because of the team and coaches and how they will impact my life in and outside of gymnastics in such a positive way!"
Page will begin competing with TWU gymnastics in the spring 2019 season.
