DENTON, Texas (Feb. 1, 2018) - Texas Woman's University travels to Shreveport, Louisiana, to compete against Centenary College Friday at 12:30 p.m. and Sunday at 2 p.m. in a pair of Midwest Independent Conference meets.

About the Pioneers
The Pioneers opened the 2018 season Jan. 12 with the highest team score in a season opener in program history by defeating MIC foe Lindenwood 193.525-191.625. The defending USA Gymnastics Collegiate National Champions competed in their first road contest Jan. 21 and scored a 191.425 at No. 1 Oklahoma and versus then-No. 15 Iowa State. The competitions this week mark the home openers for the Ladies as the team has competed at Kent State and then Lindenwood while taking on the Lions and Alaska. CU posted a season-high 184.125 at LU and is averaging a team score of 181.500.

CHICAGO (March 18, 2017) –Texas Woman's University placed second at the Midwest Independent Conference Championships Saturday afternoon inside the UIC Pavilion with an overall score of 194.000 behind first place team Lindenwood who took home the title with an 194.675.
LU won the championship for the third-straight year as the Pioneers defeated Illinois State (193.575), University of Illinois at Chicago (192.750), Southeast Missouri State (192.500) and Centenary (190.350).
