DENTON, Texas (Feb. 1, 2018) - Texas Woman's University softball opens the 2018 season at the Desert Stinger in Las Vegas hosted by Montana State-Billings Feb. 2-4 and takes on Central Washington, Fort Lewis, University of Mary, Nebraska Kearney, and Colorado Christian.
 
About the Pioneers
TWU received a first place vote and was selected third in the Lone Star Conference Preseason Poll, as announced by the league office Wednesday.
The Pioneers advanced to Super Regionals for the second time in program history last season and concluded the year with an overall record of 37-22 and 18-11 in LSC play. TWU returns All-LSC Second Team selections Tylia Sylestine and Hazel Puempel along with Third Team honoree Abby Walker and Golden Glove award winner Tara Solomon.
