Preview: Pioneers at Eastern New Mexico

DENTON, Texas (March 15, 2018) - Texas Woman's University gets back into Lone Star Conference action at Eastern New Mexico with a doubleheader Friday at 4 p.m. CST and a single game Saturday at 1 p.m. at Greyhound Softball Field.

About the Pioneers
TWU is gearing up for their fifth, sixth and seventh game of the week after completing a pair of non-conference doubleheaders against Missouri Western and St. Mary's where the Pioneers took a win in each series. Hazel Puempel ranks second in the LSC in doubles (9), fifth in stolen bases (13), sixth in hits (33) and seventh runs scored (28). Tylia Sylestine sits fifth in RBI (29) and home runs (8), while MaKayla Cook is third in on-base percentage (.591) and sixth in batting average (.500).
 
About Eastern New Mexico
The Greyhounds are 8-0 this season at home under Head Coach Katie Welborn to total the highest for a season since earning nine home victories in the 2013 season. Erikka Burke is hitting .397 for ENMU on 27 hits, 17 RBI and eight home runs.

DENTON, Texas (March 18, 2017) - Texas Woman's University completed the three-game sweep of Eastern New Mexico Saturday afternoon at Pioneer Park with a 10-2 five-inning win over the Greyhounds to increase TWU's win streak to 10 games.
The Pioneers (19-10, 9-5 LSC) totaled 10 hits on the day compared to four from the Greyhounds. Nicole Nordie, Katy Stephens and Alexis Elizondo notched two hits each while Tylia Sylestine, Tori Bice, Abby Walker and Tara Solomon tallied one apiece.
