Schyler Jones of Texas Woman's University gymnastics made the most of her last regular season home meet inside Kitty Magee Arena by recording a career-high 39.400 in all-around against the top-ranked team in the country, Oklahoma, on Senior Day Sunday.

The Pioneers posted a team score of 193.475 compared to 198.175 by the Sooners. Today marked the final competition at home for six Pioneers seniors: Jones,
Brandi Lazarus,
Alyssa Kelly,
Mallory Moredock,
Abigail Versemann and
Taylor Vincent.

Hunter Vincent began the meet with a 9.425 on vault, followed by a 9.675 from
Erin Alderman, and a 9.725 by
Megan Gentry. Moredock notched a 9.825, Lazarus a 9.800, and
Schyler Jones scored a team-high 9.850 for a Pioneer total of 48.875.

On bars, Versemann totaled a 9.150, Lazarus recorded a 9.575, and Jones had a 9.800. Kelly and
Hunter Vincent each totaled a 9.775, and
Bria Northrop anchored with a team-best 9.825 as TWU tallied a 48.725.

Lazarus registered a 9.175 on beam, Alderman scored an 8.600, while
Hunter Vincent had a 9.625. Kelly totaled a 9.775, and Moredock and Jones each registered a 9.850 for a team score of 48.275.

During the last rotation on floor, Versemann started TWU off with a 9.600, and
Hope Parkin made her season-debut by scoring a 9.200.
Bridgette Peterson tallied a 9.025, Alderman had an 8.650, and Moredock recorded a 9.850 before Jones finished off the meet for the Pioneers by tying her career-high on floor with a 9.900 for a 47.575 TWU score.

Maggie Nichols of OU posted a 10.000 on floor on her way to a 39.850 for the all-around title.

Lisa Bowerman said, "We had some ups and downs today and unfortunately overall it was not the meet we were looking for. However, we will learn from it and use it to be a stronger, more prepared team going into post season."

The Pioneers travel to the MIC Championships hosted by Lindenwood in St. Charles, Missouri, for a meet Friday at 6 p.m.
