FAYETTEVILLE, Arkansas (March 16, 2019) — In the final meet of the 2019 regular season, Texas Woman's Gymnastics posted a score of 192.175 to finish third at the Arkansas Quad.
"After a very disappointing and uncharacteristic Beam rotation, the team responded well on Floor," head coach
Lisa Bowerman said. "Though it was good to see that response from them, we were not able to reach the goals we set for this meet or help or NQS with a strong road score."
Senior
Erin Alderman once again anchored the Pioneers, posting a team-high 9.775 on Beam and a 9.875 on Floor. Her 9.700 was also second-highest on the team behind
Hope Parkin's 9.775.
On Bars,
Morgan Colee paced the Pioneers as she finished third overall in the meet with a 9.825 while in the All-Around,
Bria Northrop finished fifth with a 38.350.
"As we prepare for conference, we will continue to hone in on the details on all four events," Bowerman added. "We look to build confidence and set ourselves up for a great performance at the conference championship."
Next week, the Pioneers will travel to Shreveport, Louisiana for the Midwest Independent Conference Championship.
