THREE THINGS TO KNOW
- The Pioneers' three wins have all come against teams ranked in the NFCA Top 25 poll. TWU opened the 2020 campaign with a 3-2 win over top-ranked and defending national champion Augustana, and have also picked up wins over No. 7 Central Oklahoma and No. 23 Arkansas Tech.
- Paige Tamayo has been the offensive leader for the Pioneers through the first 12 games of the season. The sophomore, a returning all-Lone Star Conference selection, is hitting .405 with two homers and 11 RBIs.
- Sydney Johnson has proven to be quite adept at getting free admission to the basepaths with a team-high seven walks this year. Through 12 games this year, the sophomore has drawn more walks than she drew in 31 games as a freshman.
