DENTON, Texas - Texas Woman's University head gymnastics coach Lisa Bowerman announced the signing of Carmel, California native Maddie Gose to a national letter of intent to compete to the Pioneers on Friday.

"Maddie is a great addition to the Pioneer family," said Bowerman. "One of the things that initially drew us to her was the unique blend of power and grace that she has in her gymnastics.  Once we got to know her on a personal level we found that she has the strong character, passion, and desire for excellence that we have built our culture on.  I am excited to see the impact Maddie will have on the future of TWU Gymnastics."

Gose was a Junior Olympic Nationals qualifier in 2017, with an all-around score of 37.825. She has posted personal records of 9.700 on the vault, 9.675 on the beam, and 9.650 on the floor. She trains at Elite Gymnastics Academy.

"I chose TWU because of the family atmosphere in and out of the gym and the ability to make relationships with professors because of the size of the school," said Gose. "I am most excited to be a part of a team, and experience life and make new friends in a different place."
