BOWLING GREEN, Ohio - Sandee Mott, Director of Athletics at Texas Woman's University, has been honored by the Women's Collegiate Gymnastics Association as a Regional Administrator of the Year, the WGCA announced Wednesday. The winners were selected by a vote of the coaches in each division.

Mott earns the award for Division II and Centenary, joining eight other honorees nationally; as Alabama's Robin Kelley was selected for Region 1, Denver's Stuart Halsall was selected for Region 2, Carrie Kimball of New Hampshire was selected for Region 3, Suzanne Affeldt of Arizona was selected for Region 4, Kim Green of Florida was selected for Region 5, Marianne Vydra of Oregon State was selected for Region 6, Craig Poisson of Springfield College was chosen for the NCGA East Region, and the tandem of Dan Schumaker and Robin Baker of Wisconsin-Eau Claire were selected for the NCGA West Region.

Mott was named Director of Athletics at TWU on November 14, 2019 and began in her role on January 2, 2020.

In her nomination, head gymnastics coach Lisa Bowerman said "Despite entering in the middle of the academic year, and right at the very start of gymnastics season, Sandee jumped right in and made an immediate impact. Sandee came to TWU with no prior experience at a gymnastics school, but her wealth of experience as a coach, administrator, and leader, proved to be more than enough to provide us with all we needed, and more.  She immediately dove head first into NCAA Gymnastics.  She has supported me, my student-athletes, staff, and our sport as a whole since day one.  She has already become one of the sport's biggest fans and advocates. Though her time up to this point as an administrator for Gymnastics has been short, I can't say enough the impact she has already made. The best part is, that I know she will forever be an advocate for all of us in collegiate gymnastics.  Sandee Mott is a game changer, and that is why I feel she is so deserving of this award."
