DALLAS, Texas - The Texas Woman's University volleyball team completed the opening day of the American Volleyball Coaches Association exhibition tournament in Dallas, with matches against Tampa and Harding University. 

The exhibition contests have provided TWU volleyball coach Jeff Huebner with an opportunity to review lineup combinations, and serves as offseason competition for TWU as the Pioneers prepare for the 2021 fall season. 

"Day one of the AVCA tournament was excellent competition," said Huebner. "We played really tough with the #3 and #9 team in the country by RPI. We got contributions from every player on the roster, and it was exciting to see the amount of maturity growth we have made in just four weeks. I was especially impressed with all the middles, as well as Addison Mulroney, who played her first two matches on the right side and was fantastic. Also, Cassidy Steadman played incredible defense while running a 5-1 most of the time." 

"All in all, we are making consistent progress to getting ourselves completely ready for Fall 2021!"

The Pioneers will continue exhibition play on Thursday with matches against Gannon and Hillsdale.
