DENTON, Texas - The Texas Woman's University volleyball team will open its 2021 campaign this Friday and Saturday, traveling to Springfield, Missouri for the Greenstay Inn & Suites Drury Invitational.

THREE THINGS TO KNOW

• MATCH SCHEDULE - TWU will play four matches at the event in Springfield, beginning with a noon Friday meeting with Henderson State. The Pioneers face host Drury in the 6 p.m. match Friday and come back for a pair on Saturday - 1 p.m. against LeMoyne-Owen and 5 p.m. against Missouri Southern.
• AN EXPERIENCED SQUAD - Coach Jeff Huebner brings an experienced squad to the court for the 2021 campaign, losing just one senior from last year's team. Four talented newcomers will take to the court in addition to the entirety of last year's squad, giving the Pioneers both an experienced - and deep - team this season. 
• COMING HOME - For those fans disappointed that the Pioneers are opening the season on the road - don't fret! TWU will return to the friendly confines of Kitty Magee Arena for the next seven matches, beginning with next week's Denton Volleyfest on Sept. 10-11.
