DENTON, Texas - The Texas Woman's University gymnastics team returns to action this Friday, January 14, facing the No. 9 Iowa Hawkeyes at 6:30 p.m. (CT) inside Carver-Hawkeye Arena.

THINGS TO KNOW

• Friday's meet will be the 10th time the Pioneers and Hawkeyes have met. Iowa holds an all-time 7-2 advantage in the series, with the Pioneers claiming the win the last time the two teams met - a 195.575-195.525 victory for TWU inside Kitty Magee Arena in Denton. 
• TWU swept the Midwest Independent Conference's weekly honors this past week - as junior Mara Johnson was named Gymnast of the Week, Isabel Goyco was honored for Performance of the Week, and Sierra Muns was honored as Freshman of the Week. 
• Friday's meet will end the Pioneers' season-opening road swing as TWU returns to Kitty Magee Arena for a dual meet on Saturday, January 22 against Pittsburgh. 
• Johnson posted a career-high 9.850 on floor in her award-winning performance in the opening week of the season.

• Tickets for adults are $10 and are available at HawkeyeSports.com. Public parking is available free of charge in Lots 46 and 75, both off Hawkins Drive. ADA Parking is located in the west end of Lot 40, across the street from the south entrance of Carver-Hawkeye Arena. 
• Doors open 60 minutes before the meet begins.
