TWU VOLLEYBALL HEADS TO DALLAS TO FACE DBU

DENTON, Texas (Oct. 14, 2022) - Texas Woman's (12-8, 3-5) volleyball is set for a backyard matchup in Dallas, Texas against Dallas Baptist (17-3, 8-1). 
 
First serve is slated for Saturday, Oct. 15 at 1 p.m. in the Burg Center. With only a 40-minute drive from TWU to DBU, the Pioneers are expecting home court advantage energy. 
 
The Patriots come in at number two in the Lone Star Conference standings. They recorded their first loss this season to #1 in the Lone Star Conference, West Texas A&M (16-4, 8-0). DBU has now won eight straight matches. 
 
In their last meeting, the Pioneers fell to DBU three sets to one. However, the Pioneers currently lead the all-time series 20-17, dating back to their first match on Sep. 2, 1998. 
 
This season, the Pioneers have stifled their opponents to a .182 hitting percentage, while the Patriots average a .273 hitting percentage. At the net, the Pioneers dominated DBU, recording 2.22 blocks per set, while the Patriots clock in at 1.65 blocks per set
