DENTON, Texas (Oct. 6, 2022) - Texas Woman's volleyball (11-7, 2-4) is set to host their annual Dig Pink match versus Cameron, Friday, Oct. 7 at 6 p.m. in Kitty Magee Arena. 
 
Friday night's matchup will be Cameron's second meeting with the Pioneers this season. During the Lone Star Conference Crossover tournament on Sep. 9, 2022, the Pioneers swept the Aggies in KMA. 
 
The Pioneers lead the all-time series with Cameron 40-24 and have won the last 12 matches against the Aggies, including a home record of 24-9. 
 
With a conference record of 0-6, Cameron ranks at number 16 in the LSC. 
 
Although the Pioneers were defeated by Lubbock Christian (8-11, 4-4) in Wednesday night's match on Oct. 5, TWU stood out as the comeback team. The Pioneers trailed LCU in sets, 2-0, only to come from behind and take sets three and four. Ultimately, the fifth set was claimed by LCU. 
 
After sweeping Cameron in their last match up, the Pioneers hope for a repeat. The Aggies have lost 11 straight games, grappling offensively and recording an average of 40 ball handling errors this season. 
 
The Pioneers are looking to take advantage of out-of-system plays by remaining aggressive at the net in blocks, attacks and kills. 
 
Myracle Stockman, Luna Van Baars and Trixie Oche recorded season highs in blocks, attacks, and kills against LCU.

DIG FOR A CAUSE

• In their last three seasons, the Pioneers have swept Cameron in KMA.  
• The Aggies currently outrank the Pioneers in blocks per set, with the Pioneers averaging 2.24 and the Aggies averaging 2.34 blocks. 
• In their last matchup on Sept. 9, the Pioneers registered a hitting percentage of .235 against Cameron. This season, the Pioneers average a hitting percentage of .192 overall.
