LET'S PARTY
  •  THE FIRST TIME WE MET: On Dec. 2, 2021, the Pioneers played UAFS in Fort Smith, Arkansas in a nonconference matchup. TWU won that game by their highest scoring margin all season—beating the Lions by 36 points. During that game, they also held the Lions to zero points in the third quarter. On Saturday, TWU will have to play strong defense and continue to score consistently to get the win over UAFS.
  • IT'S STILL ALL ABOUT THE DEFENSE: When the Pioneers are not scoring well, their defense wins them games. In their game on Tuesday against TAMUC on Tuesday, the Pioneers struggled to score in the second half, but because they forced TAMUC into bad shots and low percentage shooting, they came out with the win. TWU will look to remain dominant on the defensive end in tomorrow's game.
  • OUR SENIORS; Tomorrow, we will honor Agang Tac, Ma'k'La Woods and Jada Freeman. All three of these athletes have made a significant impact on and off the court for TWU Basketball. Tac, who only spent this year with the Pioneers, came in and immediately made a difference. This season she has averaged 6.6 points per game and 5.8 rebounds per game. Woods returned this year while finishing her graduate degree. During this season, she entered the TWU all-time scoring list and averaged 6.7 points per game. Freeman has spent two years at TWU. This season Freeman has grabbed seven steals and 17 rebounds. We look forward to honoring them after the game tomorrow.
