THE PIONEER WAY
- DIVERSIFIED THREATS: Over the Pioneers last two games against UTPB, seven different Pioneers recorded hits. Across the stat sheet, TWU has the ability to take advantage of multiple scoring threats. The Pioneers can put the ball in play, which allows their base runners, who have a lot of speed, to make scoring moves. These diversified scoring threats will be an advantage for TWU in Saturday's game.
- HISTORY: In 25 matchups, TWU holds the all-time advantage over the Hilltoppers. They have won 18 games and only lost seven. Last season, the Pioneers split with the Hilltoppers in Austin, Texas. At home, the Pioneers are 10-1 against St. Edward's.
- DOUBLE TROUBLE: Against UTPB, the Pioneers recorded five doubles, which allowed them to get into scoring position. Big hits will be key for the Pioneers on Saturday.
