HOME RUN HITS
- SCORELESS INNINGS: Against St. Edward's, the Pioneers only allowed a combined five runs in two games. Their pitching and defense held the Hilltoppers scoreless for most of the innings played. On the other hand, STMU scored a combined 20 runs in their last two games. The Pioneers will have to channel their pitching and defense from Saturday to help limit the scoring of the Rattlers.
- FIERCE FRESHMEN: The Pioneers are a young team and each game, their freshmen step up in clutch situations. Missy Wise recorded two doubles on Saturday and Briana Yale hit one double and recorded one RBI. Look for the Pioneers freshmen to make a big impact in Monday's games.
- SPEED: In game one on Saturday, the Pioneers had no stolen bases and they lost. Then, they won game two, in which they stole three bases. When TWU is able to flex their strength of speed, they tend to have better results. The Pioneers speed will be an important factor in Monday's game.
