PIONEER POWER
- TIMING IS EVERYTHING: Against St. Mary's in game one, the Pioneers mounted a comeback in the fifth inning. A home run by Da'Jia Davis ignited the Pioneers run. They scored three runs to cut the Rattlers lead to just one. In the bottom of the fifth with two outs on the board, Rylee Lara was walked, but the Pioneers could not advance after a pop up to shortstop by Jalee McDonald. The Pioneers need to take advantage of the moments—timing can be critical. Against the Patriots, the Pioneers will need to capitalize on key moments.
- TO THE MOON: Against the Rattlers, Davis hit her second home run of the season, and Nya Brown recorded a double. TWU will have to combine big hitting with quick speed on Friday.
- CATCH THEM SWINGING: The Pioneers recorded eight strikeouts on the day- many of them strikeouts swinging. Jules Malis led the Pioneers with five strikeouts on the day. TWU's pitching staff will be critical in the double header on Friday.
