HOME SWEET HOME
- SMART DECISIONS: In game one against UT-Tyler, the Pioneers scored four runs. To score these runs, TWU found the gaps with their hits, using several singles to score runners. The Pioneers need to be smart against the Lions today and take advantage of the gaps and the lines to score runs.
- WINDY WEATHER: The last few games, the Pioneers had to manage some pretty strong winds on defense. Today, the forecast shows the wind is blowing at 7 mph, which is not too strong, but still could play a factor in today's double header.
- GET HITS: Against Midwestern State, the Lions pitching staff combined for 29 strikeouts in two games. The Pioneers will have to find ways to put the ball in play today. In their last game, the Lions only run came from a homerun in the ninth inning to beat Midwestern. The Pioneers need to play solid defense and give themselves a chance on offense, which will make a difference in Sunday's game.
