DENTON, Texas (March 29, 2022) – The Texas Woman's University softball team announced the addition of Jordan Forns to the 2022-23 roster on Monday.
 
Forns, a 5'7 infielder from Hillsboro, Texas, will add experience and strength to the Pioneers team. She played softball at Hillsboro High School and for the Black Widows Gold travel team.
 
"We are looking forward to having Jordan join our team," TWU head coach Amber Barker said. "She is an athlete who will help add depth and range to our infield and help increase our team speed. Jordan will also be a fantastic student in the classroom. She absolutely loves TWU, and we are excited for her to have the TWU experience."
 
While playing at Hillsboro, Forns was named First Team All-District Infielder in 2021 and the Offensive Player of the Year in 2021. She also excels in the classroom, earning Academic All-District in 2021.
 
Forns will graduate from Hillsboro in May 2022 and join the Pioneers in Fall 2022 for the 2023 season.
 
Forns said she could not be more excited to join the Pioneers program.
 
"TWU has an outstanding, hard-working program that I would love to be a part of," Forns said.  "I know that TWU is a great fit because they have all the qualities I want in a program. They have great team chemistry, the coaches are amazing, and TWU has a championship culture—it's exactly what I want to be a part of and contribute to. TWU also has a strong academic presence that I love as well. The campus and the facilities at TWU are amazing and I feel like I'm at home."
