ODESSA, Texas (March 6, 2022) – The road trip continues for the Texas Woman's University softball team, as they are set to play a double header against University of Texas – Permian Basin March 6 at 1 p.m. and 3 p.m.
 
TWU (7-6, 2-0 Lone Star Conference) opened LSC action undefeated on Friday, March 4 against Western New Mexico University. The Pioneers will look to go 4-0 in their LSC opening weekend on Sunday.
 
UTPB (14-9, 1-1) also opened conference play on Friday, against Midwestern State University. The Falcons split the double header.

• The Pioneers will play a double header against the Falcons in Odessa, Texas at 1 p.m. and 3 p.m.

 
ON A ROLL

•  BIG SWINGS: Against Western New Mexico, the Pioneers recorded four home runs in two games. They will look to stay locked in and carry that fire over from New Mexico to Odessa.
• SMART MOVES: The Pioneers only committed three errors in two games on Friday. Their defense was solid, which limited runs for the Mustangs. TWU will look to stay connected on the defensive side of the ball, limit errors and get the wins on Sunday.
• ALL THE PIONEERS: In game one on Friday, five different Pioneers recorded hits. In game two, seven different Pioneers recorded hits. Every Pioneer has the ability to be a threat at the plate, which will be key on Sunday afternoon.
