DENTON, Texas (Sept. 7, 2022) – The Texas Woman's volleyball team is back home this week for the Lone Star Conference Crossover Tournament from Thursday, Sept. 8 through Saturday, Sept. 10 in Kitty Magee Arena.
With a triumphant start last week at Denton Volleyfest, the Pioneers are now 4-0 in KMA. In their first home game of the 2022 season, TWU beat Missouri Southern State in four sets.
Following their victory, the Pioneers struck while the iron was hot and finished off the remainder of their opponents – most notably sweeping Northwestern Oklahoma State in three straight sets.
This week the Pioneers will be kicking off the Lone Star Conference Crossover Tournament on Thursday, Sept. 8 with a doubleheader versus Texas A&M International at 10 a.m. and Western New Mexico at 7 p.m. Then, on Maroon Mania Friday, the Pioneers will battle Cameron at 6 p.m. and close out the weekend on Saturday versus Midwestern State at 6 p.m.

THERE'S NO PLACE LIKE HOME
- PACK THE HOUSE: Last week the Pioneers rallied at Denton Volleyfest, solidifying their home opener with four hard-earned wins. TWU will need the support of its fans to pack KMA as the Pioneers seek to overcome the competition with another weekend sweep.
- MAROON MANIA: Come out and support TWU Athletics during our annual Maroon Mania. Free and open to the public, be sure to enjoy an evening filled with games, prizes, and music. Located in front of Hubbard Hall, join us from 3-5:30 p.m. for pregame activities. At 5:30 p.m., follow us to KMA as we cheer on the Pioneers. Prizes will be given out during the game.
- HELLO AGAIN: With a history dating as far back as 1980, the Pioneers are no stranger to their next four opponents. Last season the Pioneers defeated three of the four opponents, only falling to Texas A&M International. Despite last year's lost, TWU leads Texas A&M International 5-2 all time.
