DENTON, Texas (Nov. 1, 2023) – For the first time since 2015, the Texas Woman's volleyball team was included on the
NCAA South Central Regional Rankings.
In the first week of the NCAA South Central Regional Rankings, which is released in alphabetical order, the Pioneers were listed as one of the top 10 teams.

The top 10 teams in the South Central Region, which includes the Lone Star Conference and Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference, will be ranked weekly until the final Selection Show for the NCAA Tournament on Monday, Nov. 20 at 7:30 p.m.
The top eight teams in the region will advance to the NCAA South Central Regional Tournament.
Of the 10 teams under consideration on the first ranking, seven teams were from the LSC –Angelo State, UAFS, Dallas Baptist, Texas A&M – Kingsville, UT Tyler, West Texas A&M and TWU. The three remaining teams were from the RMAC – Colorado Mesa, MSU Denver and Regis.
The Pioneers have four more regular season matches. They will face Texas A&M International and Texas A&M – Kingsville at home in Kitty Magee Arena this Friday and Saturday. Then, they will go on the road to UAFS and Oklahoma to close out the regular season on Nov. 10 and 11.
TWU currently ranks fourth in the LSC in points (17.34 per set), third in the LSC in hitting percentage (.249 per set), second in assists (13.02 per set), second in kills (13.87 per set) and second in service aces (1.80 per set).
The Pioneers also rank 14th in NCAA Division II in assists per set, 23rd in hitting percentage and 17th in kills per set.
