TRIPLE THREAT
- A LOOK AT THE OREDIGGERS: Mines currently averages 78.5 points per game and won both of their opening weekend games by an average of 10.5 points. They average 40.7% from the field, 36.5% from the three point line and 86.2% from the free throw line. They are led on offense by redshirt senior Ashley Steffeck, who currently averages 27.5 points per game.
- CRASH THE GLASS: The Pioneers currently average 39 rebounds per game and out-rebound their opponent by 3.2 rebounds per game on average. On the other side, Mines averages 35 rebounds per game and is getting out-rebounded by two rebounds per game on average. It will be key for the Pioneers to crash the glass and secure the rebounds against the Orediggers.
- DEFENSE IS KEY: In their two games, the Orediggers have averaged 19 turnovers per game with their opponents scoring 13.5 points off of those turnovers. TWU will look to force Mines into turnovers and translate those into points, as the Pioneers will look to win the turnover category on Thursday.
