DENTON, Texas (Nov. 2, 2023) – The Pioneers are back in Kitty Magee Arena for their final home stand of the regular season, which begins on Friday night.
TWU (16-7, 8-4) was recently included on the first NCAA South Central Regional Ranking under consideration release. Tomorrow night, the Pioneers will meet Texas A&M International (15-9, 6-5), who currently sits in ninth in the Lone Star Conference. With their eight wins in LSC play, the Pioneers currently sit in sixth in the LSC standings.
TWU will meet the Dustdevils at 6 p.m. tomorrow night in KMA.

- A LOOK AT HISTORY: The Pioneers are 7-2 all-time against TAMIU. TWU has won the last two meetings. Last season, the Pioneers met twice – once on the road in Laredo, Texas and once at home in KMA. At home, TWU swept TAMIU in three straight sets. Then, on the road, the Pioneers won in five sets. Tori Woods led the Pioneers in the five set win with 12 kills and Lizzy Reed and Kiana Reed combined for 51 assists.
- LAST MATCHES: TWU is currently on a 2-0 win streak – most recently defeating Midwestern State and Western New Mexico. In their last match, the Pioneers swept Western New Mexico in three straight sets and held the Mustangs to under 18 points in all three sets. After the Pioneers' 2-0 week, Luna França was named the LSC Defensive Player of the Week. The Dustdevils have lost two straight matches at home against UT Permian Basin and Angelo State, as they were swept in both contests. In their last match against ASU, the Dustdevils were held to hitting .084 on 41 kills.
- LEADERS LOOK: Senior No. 7 Ariana Guerra currently leads TAMIU in kills on the season with 221 and averages 3.68 per set. Sophomore Emma Lade, the LSC Preseason Setter of the Year, currently leads the team in assists with 825 on the season. Lade also leads in aces with 23. On the season, the Dustdevils average 12.4 kills per set, 11.6 assists per set, 1.4 aces per set 17.1 digs per set and 1.7 blocks per set. TWU is led in kills by Tori Woods with 219 and Kaia Saylor, who averages 2.74 kills per set. Grace Reynolds leads the Pioneers in assists with 452 on the season and in service aces with 33. TWU averages 13.9 kills per set, 13 assists per set, 1.8 aces per set, 15.9 digs per set and 1.7 blocks per set.
