OKLAHOMA CITY (Nov. 9, 2023) – The Texas Woman's volleyball team goes on the road for their final two matches of the 2023 regular season.

TWU (18-7, 10-4) will meet Oklahoma Christian (13-14, 5-9) to start their final weekend on Friday night at 6 p.m.

The Pioneers are currently on a four-match win streak, most recently defeating Texas A&M – Kingsville in five sets on Nov.  4. On the other side, the Eagles have lost their last two matches to UT Permian Basin and Angelo State. On Nov. 4, OC lost to Angelo State in three straight sets.

TWU, who is currently seventh in the NCAA South Central Region, will look to start their final weekend off with a win on the road.

PACK KMA

• LAST MEETING: The Pioneers and Eagles have already met once this season at the season-opening Lone Star Conference Crossover. TWU swept OC in that meeting. In the three sets, OC would not score more than 17 points. The Pioneers hit .228 on the match and held the Eagles to hitting just .028. Cara Pool led TWU with eight kills and six blocks, and Grace Reynolds totaled five aces and 14 assists.  
• HISTORY: TWU has only met OC three times. On the road in 2021, the Pioneers fell in four sets. In their last two meetings, the Pioneers have recorded the win. On the season, the Eagles are 4-2 at home. They average allowing their opponents 11.8 kills per set, 1.8 aces per set, 14.7 digs per set and 1.9 blocks per set. On the season, TWU averages 14 kills per set, 1.8 aces per set, 16 digs per set and 1.6 blocks per set.
• LSC LEADERS: The Pioneers currently have three players in the top three in the LSC in hitting percentage – Pool (.385) is No. 1, Kaia Saylor (.347) is No. 4 and Kady Hansen (.343) is No. 5. Reynolds currently ranks second in service aces, averaging 0.48 per set. On the other side, the Eagles have Giorgia Turri, who ranks No. 1 in service aces (0.53 per set). Additionally, Megan Rek from OC ranks fifth in blocks with 1.12 per set.
