DENTON, Texas (Dec. 8, 2023) – It's the holiday season, and the Texas Woman's basketball team will celebrate tomorrow afternoon at 2 p.m. against Eastern New Mexico by inviting everyone to wear holiday sweaters.
TWU (9-1, 3-0) will meet ENMU (4-5, 0-3) on Saturday, Dec. 9 at 2 p.m. in Kitty Magee Arena.
On Thursday night, the Pioneers defeated Western New Mexico, 58-36, to remain undefeated in conference action. The Greyhounds come to Denton, Texas having lost their last three contests. In their most recent game, ENMU dropped their LSC meeting with UT Tyler, 76-48.
The Pioneers will look to continue their home winning streak on Saturday afternoon.

WINNING WONDERLAND
- STRONG THIRD QUARTER: On Thursday night against WNMU, the Pioneers came out strong in the third quarter, holding the Mustangs to their lowest quarter of scoring this season at just six points. ENMU, in their loss to UT Tyler, scored just seven points in the third quarter, which aided in turning the tide of the game. TWU will look to come out of halftime strong on Saturday.
- CHRISTMAS PAST: The Pioneers and the Greyhounds have met 61 times, and TWU has won 24 of those meetings. The Pioneers are currently on a two-game winning streak over the Greyhounds. Last season, TWU defeated the Greyhounds on the road, 64-62. In the game, Ashley Ingram and Scout Huffman both finished in double-digits. The Pioneers have not met ENMU in Denton, Texas since the 2018-19 season. On their home floor, the Pioneers are 13-16 against the Greyhounds.
- AWESOME ASHLEY: The Pioneers are currently led by junior Ashley Ingram. She hit her 1,000-point career mark on Thursday, becoming the 12th Pioneer in program history to hit the career milestone. Ingram has also recorded four-straight double-doubles in the Pioneers' last four games, marking a career high. With her 1,003 points, Ingram currently ranks 12th on the Pioneers all-time scoring list.
