FRISCO, Texas (Feb. 25, 2023) – Following the conclusion of the regular season games today, the Lone Star Conference released the 2023 Women's Basketball Championship bracket.

The tournament will be played in Frisco, Texas at the Comerica Center.

The opening round will be played on Thursday, March 2, followed by the semifinals on Saturday, March 4 and the championship game on Sunday, March 5.

Texas Woman's claimed the No. 1 seed and will play at 6 p.m. on March 2 against the eighth seed, St. Edward's.

The winner between TWU and St. Edward's will face the winner of No. 4 seed Lubbock Christian and No. 5 seed Texas A&M – Kingsville on Saturday, March 4. Then, the championship game will be played on Sunday, March 5 at 1 p.m.

TWU Athletics will be providing a free fan bus from the Denton campus to Frisco for TWU's games. The fan bus is open to students, faculty, staff and Pioneer Club members. Anyone riding the fan bus will receive free admission to the game. Additionally, if you are a student, faculty, staff or Pioneer Club member and are unable to ride the fan bus, you are still eligible to claim a free ticket to the game.

The fan bus will leave Denton two hours prior to the game start time.

Please note that the Comerica Center does have a clear bag policy. 

According to the LSC, "All seven games will be broadcast exclusively on the LSC Digital Network at LoneStarConferenceNetwork.com or the LSC Digital Network OTT app. Fans can purchase an LSC Basketball Championship Day Pass for $10 that will provide access to all tournament games broadcast that day and archived games from earlier rounds."

The 2023 LSC Champion will receive an automatic bid to the 2023 South Central Regional Championships Match 10-11, 13.
