DENTON, Texas (March 3, 2023) – After an exciting double header sweep against Henderson State on Tuesday night, Feb. 28 the Pioneers will take on Cameron Friday night, March 3 at 6 p.m. at Dianne Baker Field to jumpstart the three-game conference series.

The Pioneers are currently undefeated and have won seven games at home this season. Â

Against the Reddies, the Pioneers introduced two new pitchers to the circle including
Janyssa Ramos in game one and
Allison Gonzalez in game two.
Â
Ramos made her debut in the circle for all seven innings and recorded three strikeouts, and only allowed four hits and one walk.
Â
In game two Gonzalez pitched a full seven innings to riddle the Reddies to a two-game shutout. Gonzalez recorded six strikeouts and allowed four hits.

In their last meeting, the Pioneers dominated the Aggies on the road 3-1 on March 25, 2021. The Pioneers currently lead the series 30-27 since April 8, 1998.

The Aggies are 6-3 in the Lone Star Conference. From the plate, they average .295 and a slugging percentage of .465.

At the mound, the Aggies average 3.94, providing the Pioneers with plenty of opportunities to score.
