DENTON, Texas (May 22, 2023) – In year two of Texas Woman's STUNT,
Kaitlin Abanto becomes the second STUNT athlete named to the
College STUNT Coaches Association All-American Honorable Mention list.

In her second season with TWU STUNT, Abanto was the highest-rated player in nine out of 14 games and ended the year as TWU STUNT's Most Valuable Player.

"I am extremely proud of Kaitlin earning All-American Honorable Mention and I know it is well deserved," Head Coach
Jasmine Owens said. "Kaitlin was a vital part of all four quarters this year. I could always count on her to step into a spot and execute it beautifully every time. Her selflessness and determination will continue to improve her skills in our sport."

The CSCA recognizes student-athletes as All-Americans that have met the following criteria: participated in all four quarters of play, participated in at least 50 percent of games played, and were a vital component in their teams' success.

The mission of CSCA is to unify collegiate STUNT Coaches, to act as a collective voice, and to inform STUNT coaches on issues relating to STUNT. The CSCA achieves its goal through the promotion of STUNT as a collegiate sport. Serve as a unified voice for collegiate STUNT coaches in appropriate legislative arenas, with the NCAA and member conferences, while serving as a primary advisor to USA Cheer on college STUNT issues, according to the
CSCA website.

On January 14, 2023, STUNT was officially named an emerging sport for women in NCAA Division II, beginning August 2023 STUNT will gain its emerging sport status.
